EXAMINING THE CRITICAL FACTS
NO. 1: THE PROPHET HAD HIMSELF INSTITUTED THE BAN FOR THE WRITING OF HIS
SAYINGS.
The promoters as well as the critics of the Hadeeth literature, both agree that
the Prophet had ordered his companions to erase and efface everything other
than what he had personally dictated as the revealed Verses of the Qur’an.
This Command of the Prophet was proclaimed in clear and strict terms. During his
mission, the Prophet had rejected the repeated demands by his companions to
revoke this BAN. The reason put forward by the Prophet was that he did not want
his community to get waylaid like the earlier communities had, in the past.
History records that after the death of their Prophet Moses, Jews did embark
upon wrong paths by following their Secondary Documents like Mishnah – the Oral
Laws and Talmud – the teachings of Jewish Rabbis. Similarly, the Christians too
got waylaid by giving equal or more importance to the texts of Epistles –
Letters written by Paul and the Book of Revelation – an apocalyptic text written
by John, after their Prophet and Messiah Jesus had departed from this world.
THINK, is the history repeating itself! IS THE ENEMY OF ADAM HAVING AN UPPER
HAND ONE MORE TIME?
NO. 2: Copies OF THE QUR’AN WERE CODIFIED AND CIRCULATED IN 33 HIJRI. THE
PROPHET’S BAN FOR WRITING WAS OBSERVED FOR NEXT 200 YEARS.
The bulk of Hadeeth Literature that is in circulation today was compiled by
Imams Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, Abu Da’ud, Ibn Maja and Nasai. They were all
residents of Persia
and lived during the 3rd century Hijri. Their total collection
comprises of nearly 23,300 orally reported, re-narrated Sayings of the Prophet
and his wife as well as a sermon by a Caliph. Not so long ago, this entire
collection was regarded by the majority of Muslims as authoritative and Sahih
(meaning; Trustworthy), although these compilers DID NOT LIVE in the country
where the Prophet of Islam was born and had lived. Another significantly
important observation is the lack of tangible retractable evidence for the
verification of such an outstanding claim. NONE OF THESE SIX COMPILERS HAVE
ADOPTED THE PRACTICE OF FAITHFULLY QUOTING FROM AN EARLIER PUBLISHED
DOCUMENT. In other words the SOURCE DOCUMENT to verify three century old
QUOTES AND TRADITIONS DO NOT EXIST. ONE MUST SIMPLY TRUST THE INHERITED
BELIEFS AND ACTS OF ONE’S ANCESTORS.
NO. 3: PLACING OF “FAITH” DEMANDS THE ANSWER TO THE FOLLOWING FOUR SERIOUS
QUESTIONS.
(1) While the Arab scholars living in Arabia have not recorded in their works
even a couple of hundred “Trustworthy Sayings” of the Prophet, how could the
non-Arab writers living outside of Arabia compile in Arabic, over 23,000
“Trustworthy Sayings of the Prophet”, re-narrated by the several companions of
Prophet, centuries after they all had passed away from this world?
(2) While the Arab scholars had diligently observed the Prophet’s BAN for not
writing the Sayings of the Prophet, even after the copies of the Qur’an were
circulated, what justified and legitimized the infringement of Prophet’s BAN for
writing them, by the non-Arab scholars living in Persia. Was it not the change
of Caliphate? (Details to follow).
(3) On the Day of Judgment, what could be our answer for promoting these 23,300
Sayings, if the instituted Ban was valid for “all times” to safeguard the
followers from creating Secondary Document and waylaid by the EVIL ONE?
(4) Islamic history supports the fact that the major Discords and Divisions
within the Muslim Brotherhood were mostly due to the propagation of the Spurious
Sectarian motivated Sayings during the early period of Islamic history. Today
in 2006, more Muslims have been killed by Muslims on the SECTARIAN GROUNDS than
the number of non-Muslims that have entered within the fold of Islam!
NO. 4: ABBASID CALIPHATE CAME TO POWER AND EMERGENCE OF HADEETHS IN THOUSANDS
Abbasid Caliphs based their claim to Caliphate on their descent from one of the
uncles of the Prophet. Their predecessors - the Umayyads, belonged to an Arab
clan separate from the Prophet’s Quraish tribe. The Umayyad administered Islam
in such a way as to favor Arab Muslims over all others. This undesirable
preference had engendered increased hostility and the resentment over time. The
Abbasids not only attacked the secularism but they strongly appealed to the
non-Arab Muslims, known as Mawalis. Under the Umayyad rule Mawalis
were perceived as belonging to a lower class and had remained outside of Arab
society and culture. Abbasids encouraged Mawalis to actively participate
in the political and religious activities of Muslim Brotherhood. For further

. It is now understandable, why these non-Arab (Persian) compilers of the
Prophetic Sayings received special admiration and extra-ordinary reverence
during this critical period of our history. Here are some major consequences
of this turn of Islamic History: a) The strict observance of the Prophet’s Ban
that was diligently observed by the Arabs was done away for ever. b)
The notion that the Prophet’s BAN WAS ONLY TRANSITORY until the
Collection of the Qur’an was legitimized and promoted as if that was the command
of the Prophet. c) The works of Six Persian Compilers was placed on the second
highest pedestal after the Qur’an. d) The denial or criticism of Hadeeth was
made a taboo. e) Rejecters of the so called “Sahih Hadeeths” were labeled
as Rejecters of Islam. f) Within the Friday sermons, quoting of the “Hadeeths”
from all classifications from Maudu
toSahih, side-by-side with Revealed
Verses of the Glorious Qur’an, became an accepted norm.
NO. 5: PROPHET’S LAST SERMON WAS WITNESSED BY THOUSANDS,
DO WE HAVE A “SAHIH SERMON”?
The answer is NO. We have ambiguities as to what DID THE PROPHET OF ISLAM SAY
ABOUT LEAVING BEHIND TO HOLD FAST.

DIFFERENT VERSIONS ARE PROPAGATED...
1)
The Prophet had declared; he was leaving behind THE QUR'AN.
2)
The Prophet had declared; he was leaving behind THE QUR'AN AND HIS SUNNAH.
3)
The Prophet had declared; he was leaving behind THE QUR'AN AND HIS AHLEH BAIT.
IF THERE WAS THE
“TRUSTWORTHY SINGLE VERSION”
OF THE LAST SERMON, THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DIVIDED INTO
SECTS AND MUSLIMS WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN KILLING THEIR OWN BROTHERS AND SISTERS AS
THE DEADLY FOES. THIS CONCLUSIVELY PROVES THAT IT IS A FALLACY TO CLAIM ANY
DOCUMENT OTHER THAN THE REVEALED QUR’AN, WHICH ALLAH (S.W.T.) HAS HIMSELF
UNDERTAKEN TO PROTECT, TO BE TRUSTWORTHY.
NO. 6: SECRETARY ZAYD REMINDED CALIPHA MU’AWIYAH NOT TO WRITE THE SAYINGS
OF THE PROPHET BECAUSE IT WAS STRICTLY BANNED.
Islamic
history records that Zayd ibn Thabit used to act as the Prophet’s personal
secretary. Zayd who used to take the dictations from the Prophet had a personal
copy of the revealed
verses of the Qur'an. This copy was later used by the 3rd Caliph
Uthman as the basis to codify the Qur’an. During the rule of Calipha Mu’awiyah,
Zayd acted as an adviser to the Caliph. When Zayd saw Mu’awiyah ordering a man
to write in his letter, the prophetic tradition which he himself had verbally
narrated to the Caliph, Zayd immediately reminded the Caliph that the Prophet
had strictly Banned the writing of the Prophetic Statements. Thereupon,
Mu’awiyah ordered that all written Hadeeths be erased and no one should write
them. Mu’awiyah became the Caliph nearly a decade after copies of the Qur’an
had been circulated by Calipha Uthman. This indicates that the Ban instituted
by the Prophet was to be observed even after the collection of the Qur’an.
THE TERMINATION OF PROPHETIC BAN WAS UNILATERAL.
NO. 7. SHOULD A SERMON BY A CALIPH EXPRESSING HIS OWN OBSERVATION BE
INCLUDED IN THE BOOK OF “PROPHETIC HADEETHS” AND BE ACTED UPON EVEN IF IT
NEGATES THE QUR’AN?
Hadeeth Number 6829, recorded in Volume Number 8, under Book Number 86 entitled
The Book of Al-Hudud is neither a “SAYING OF THE PROPHET” nor is related to it.
These are the re-reported spoken words of Calipha Umar ibn al-Khattab (r.a.)
narrated by Ibn ‘Abbas. Here is the text of that alleged Sermon:
“I am afraid that after a long time has passed, people may say, 'We do not find
the Verses of the Rajam (stoning to death) in the Holy Book,' and consequently
they may go astray by leaving an obligation that Allah has revealed. Lo! I
confirm that the penalty of Rajam be inflicted on him who commits illegal sexual
intercourse, if he is already married and the crime is proved by witnesses or
pregnancy or confession."
THE ABOVE REPORTED SERMON WAS DELIVERED BY THE 2ND CALIPH.
THE COMPILATION OF THE QUR’AN WAS DONE BY THE 3RD CALIPH.
IF THE ABOVE REPORT WAS A HISTORICAL FACT IT IS INCONCEIVABLE THAT THE
COMMISSION APPOINTED TO COLLECT THE QUR’AN BY THE 3RD CALIPH WOULD
NOT HAVE ADDED A SO CALLED “MISSING VERSE OF THE QUR’AN” IN THE FINAL
COMPILATION. IS NOT THE TEXT OF THIS SERMON CLAIMING THAT ALLAH (S.W.T.) HAS
FAILED TO SAFEGUARD HIS BOOK, WHEN ALLAH HAS PROMISED TO PROTECT HIS BOOK?

IT IS THE SAD REALITY THAT THOSE WHO HAVE PLACED THEIR FULL FAITH UPON THE
WORDINGS OF THE ABOVE SERMON HAVE PHYSICALLY “STONED TO DEATH” (MOSTLY POOR
MUSLIM WOMEN
IN NIGERIA AND AFGHANISTAN),
IGNORING THE DIVINE COMMAND TO “FLOG THEM” AND LET THEM MARRY AGAIN AND HAVE
THEIR OWN FAMILIES. FOR DETAILS READ QUR’AN SURAH NUR (24)
VERSES 2/3. THOSE WHO ISSUE SUCH JUDGMENTS ARE HONORED AND RESPECTED AS
LEADERS OF THE MUSLIM UMMAH BROTHERHOOD, AND THOSE WHO DARE TO QUESTION
SUCH ANTI-QUR’ANIC JUDGMENTS ARE DECLARED
MURTADS MEANING HAVING BEEN REMOVED OR LEFT THE DEEN OF ISLAM.

8: ISLAM WILL SOON BE VICTORIOUS IF THE BELIEVERS WERE TO REFLECT IN THEIR OWN
MINDS AND SINCERELY PROMISE TO ABIDE BY THE SUNNAH (LAW) OF THE ONE WHO
NEVER FAILS
FROM HIS PROMISE. OUR RABB PERFECTED THE DEEN ISLAM FOR US WHEN HE
REVEALED THE VERSE 5: 3. ONE RABB – ONE SUNNAH. WE WHO CALL OURSELVES AS SUNNI
MUSLIMS SHOULD CLAIM TO BE THE FOLLOWERS OF
SUNATULLAH
- ALLAH’S LAW.
REFLECT... WHAT IF THE ABBASID CALIPHS HAD NOT RELAXED THE PROPHET’S BAN FOR
“NOT WRITING OF HIS SAYINGS” AND DEVOUTLY OBEYED OUR PROPHET’S COMMAND ALIKE
THE EARLIER CALIPHS!!!
1.
ISLAM WOULD NOT HAVE DEVIATED FROM THE PATH THAT WAS PERFECTED BY ALLAH (SEE 5:
3).
2. NO MUSLIM WOULD HAVE EVER HEARD OF THE SECONDARY DOCUMENT FROM THE PULPIT.
3. NO MUSLIM LEADER OR ELDER WOULD HAVE TAUGHT ANYTHING BUT WHAT IS PRESERVED BY
ALLAH IN THE HEAVEN LAWHI MAHFUZ AND WAS LOWERED FOR ALL MANKIND IN THE
RAMADAN.

NO MUSLIM WOULD HAVE EVER DARED TO DISOBEY ALLAH’S EXPLICIT COMMAND OF NOT
RECITING OUR PRAYERS SILENTLY. (QUR’AN 17: 110). THE RITUAL PRAYER IS A WINDOW
OF SPIRTIUAL COMMUNICATION WITH ALLAH. THINK... AM I ADDRESSING MY RABB IN THE
MANNER HE WANTS ME TO THAT IS; NOT LOUDLY, NOT SILENTLY BUT ONLY IN THE
“MIDDLE TONE”?
READ & RETURN TO THE DAYS WHEN ISLAM WAS PERFECT:
“When they are told to follow the (revelation) that Allah has sent down they
say: ‘Nay we shall follow the ways that we found our fathers (following).’ What!
even if it is Satan beckoning them to the Penalty of the (Blazing) Fire!”
(Q. 31: 21).
