HAVE
YOU READ "DOCTRINE OF TRINITY" BEFORE EMBRACING IT?
"Analogies" Yes, "Text" No...
On an
average, everyday I receive two or three e-mails from people in Christendom, who
strongly advocate the "Holy Trinity". The belief in Trinity is not a recent
innovation to the Christian faith. It has been the fundamental Doctrine of the
churches for over fifteen centuries. Yet surprisingly, whenever I have
requested these advocates to write down the TEXT of the Doctrine they have come
back with "analogies", "parallel resemblance" and "similarities" from their
everyday lives. The reason is simple. Majority of these churchgoers have never
ever read the "text" of the Doctrine which their churches have been promoting.
Some of these surfers, who communicate with me after visiting my site, have
heard the term "The Holy Trinity"
and the promoted examples of the "triunes",
but not "The Doctrine" itself.
When questioned;
Is
the Son (the Second Person of the Trinity) "full fledged" God just like
his Father (the First Person of the Trinity)?,
they usually come back with their own brand of diluted (compromised) "Trinity".
In other words the percentage of "co-equality" between the First Person
and the Second Person of the Trinity varies from individual to individual.
If you have doubts about this statement please go ahead and ask these questions
when you meet your Christian friends.
I have yet to find a Trinitarian
who has at my request to produced the actual "Text" of the Doctrine of
Trinity, in his/her next response. Some have promised to obtain the "Text"
from their pastor or minister and get back. I am still waiting an officially
dictated response.
The
important question is; Why the actual wordings
of the "Text" of such an important Doctrine of a fundamental Christian
Belief are not publicized by the Churches? An honest answer could
be; Once a Church declares and propagates the official TEXT of this mysterious
Doctrine, there could be too many congregates challenging the validity
of such a Document from the Bible. The word "Trinity" and/or the phrase
"Triune of God" are not to be found anywhere in the received authorized
text or other biblical translations derived from the available texts. This
central doctrine of the Christian religion is not a biblical concept which
a Bible reader can compare and validate or negate. Those who have studied
the Bible will acknowledge that in the Bible there is one hundred percent
"explicit endorsement" for the "Unity of God" zero percent "explicit endorsement"
for the "Trinity of God". Why would God be totally
silent on this issue, if He wanted man to acknowledge Him with faith as
"Three Persons"? Say, if there were two business
deals with such odds, upon which one should a person invest his/her life's
saving? What would be our response if a similar question was asked on the
Day of Judgment, for the decision that we did make while placing our entire
faith upon!
There are
thousands of ARTICLES that are listed with the Internet search engines
on the subjects of "Trinity" and "Doctrine of Trinity". A surfer would
notice that the task of finding the TEXT of the Doctrine on the Internet
is like finding a needle in the hay stick. Here is what I discovered from
Compton's Interactive Encyclopedia Deluxe 1998 edition:
Trinity, doctrine of, in Christianity,
belief that there are three persons in God or the divine nature: the Father,
the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
The encyclopedia falls short of defining how these
"three persons" are similar or dissimilar in Glory, Majesty, Status, Substance
or Nature.
Can you prove these statements
of the
Doctrine from any version of the Bible?
One God in three Persons - the Father,
the Son and the Holy Spirit. Such is the Father, such is the Son and such
is the Holy Spirit. Glory co-equal, Majesty co-eternal, neither compounding
the Persons nor dividing the Substance. None is Greater than the other.
None is Before or After in time than the other. None is dissimilar in Substance
than the other.
Do not the above statements create
confusions? My personal experience in the field of Daw'ah (inviting people),
tells me that the failure to reconcile; "Who/what
was Jesus, and, who/what Jesus was not" have been the stepping stones
for many confused Christians who have embraced Islam, Bahai Faith or Judaism.
A God that raises "confusion" is not the God, taught Paul.
The Holy Spirit (ru'ach
in Hebrew Scriptures or pneu'ma in Greek Scriptures), is an "Active
Force" that the Almighty God has employed from time to time, to accomplish
His Will. If Jesus Christ was also "co-equal"
with the Holy Spirit, then Jesus too was an "Active Force" whom the Almighty
God had employed to accomplish His Will. Jesus did admit that to be the
case. He said; "Father Himself, who sent me has given
me commandment , what to say, and what to speak." John 12:49.
How can an employee be 100% "co-equal" in Status, Glory and Majesty
with the employer? Can the "Holy Spirit" command the Almighty God to do
an errand for it?
Have you heard this one?
One who tries to understand fully
the "Mystery of Trinity" may loose his mind, but one who rejects the "Doctrine
of Trinity" may loose his soul!
Have you read this one?
He (Jesus) said to him, "You shall
love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all
your soul, and with all your mind", this is the greatest and first
commandment.
Matthew 22 : 37-38.
PLEASE DO NOT "SHARE" YOUR LOVE FOR LORD
YOUR GOD. IF YOU WISH TO KEEP THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT STOP PLAYING THE
WORD GAME WITH CONJURED ANALOGIES AND ACCEPT THE "UNITY OF GOD".
